2008 has augured quite well for 101.1 Yes FM.  MBC's premier contemporary music  station is launching a series of slogans to establish stronger brand recall.

automatic.jpgYes FM kicked off by the year by launching the tagline “Automatic Yan!”   Soon, the term “Pastilan, Dude!” (a favorite in the southern dialects), will replace even Annabelle Rama's infamous “Ropa!” as common everyday expression.

Strongly identifying with the ebullient, fun-loving, and star-struck Pinoy, Yes FM continues its potent mix of top music hits and showbiz news, ably dished out by their DJs – mostly named after various food varieties.

The strategy was, after all, another well aimed tactic, capturing the Pinoy's penchant for gastronomic delights, and his ability to laugh even while spoofing himself.   Thus, Bruce Dilis find himself in cozy company with the likes of Cholo Chorizo and Dennis Guisado, plus the luscious lushness of Viva Hot Babes' lampoon – Glen Garci.

With its playlist setting the standards for other music stations, listening to Yes FM will remain staple fare among Filipino audiences.
