The longest running AM radio station in the country is now on television! DZRH, flagship station of Manila Broadcasting Company and considered the standard-bearer of broadcasting excellence in the Philippines, now airs simultaneously over Skycable Channel 67, courtesy of Infocom's interactive cable channel CubeiTV. Soon, it will be available on other cable channels, following negotiations with the Federation of International Cable TV Associations of the Philippines.
With RadyoVision, radio listeners and televiewers can interact via short-messaging system (SMS) with DZRH announcers and have their text messages displayed onscreen through the interactive chatroom.
Part of MBC's integrated media approach, we see how radio has gone multi-platform in efforts to respond to the Filipino diaspora phenomenon, and thereby expand both listenership and viewership. Currently linked to Bitstop Network Services, MBC is negotiating to increase its bandwith and more effectively serve loyal DZRH listeners in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and other parts of the Asia-Pacific.
