Undisputedly on top of the ratings game for five straight years now, Love Radio 90.7 shakes thing up in the airwaves a little more and updates its format that has been copied by every other FM station in the country.
Ang Bagong Istasyon, Ang Bagong Love Radio promises to keep the listeners’ interest high with funnier, crazier ad libs that Love Radio has always been known for. Love Radio has consistently topped RRC (Radio Research Council) and AC Nielsen radio surveys for the past five years and has paved the way for a unique kind of radio programming that has been copied by at least six FM stations already.
Media maverick and Love Radio station manager Weelee Espinosa points out, “Love Radio’s format – the easy, fun atmosphere peppered with jokes, music and humorous chatter – has been successful, and now it’s time for us to evolve to keep our listeners on their toes.” Starting with the “Isipin Mo Na Lang…” campaign, isteners will notice a fresh barrage of attention-grabbing ad-libs playfully saying, “Ate, Bakit naka- (name of rival station) ka? Isipin mo na lang Love Radio yan…” referring to the fact that many stations have been closely copying the station’s signature novelty programming, but still end up failing flatly in their efforts.
A refreshing, new station jingle sang by alternative rock band Frio also looks at further boosting Love Radio’s light, easy-going, happy image as a station. Composed by Espinosa himself, the Love Radio jingle is now being aggressively aired with a catchy tune to beat. “Listeners should expect a lot more from us.
Definitely something bigger, better, fresher, and very interesting because we’re doing everything we can to stay no.1,” Espinosa asserts. A pioneer in FM radio, DZMB Love Radio 90.7 Metro Manila tops the charts for its creative blend of music and humor.
Among the most popular chart-toppers today is the phenomenal tandem “Tambalan ng Isang Balahura at Isang Balasubas” Love Radio stations in all major cities nationwide have popularized the saying, “Kailangan pa bang i-memorize ‘yan,” which has become part of Filipino pop culture. DZMB-Love Radio is an FM station of Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) which owns and operates the nation’s largest radio network.
MBC has over 500 stations all over the country and covers the entire Philippine archipelago with its networks – DZRH, Love Radio, Yes FM, Hot FM, Aksyon Radyo, and Radyo Natin.
