DZRH emerged as Radio Station of the Year at the star-studded Gawad Tanglaw awards ceremonies held at the Palanca Auditorium of University of Perpetual Help-DALTA campus in Las Pinas.

MBC's flagship station was also named Best AM Station, with Radyo Balintataw, a co-production venture with the NCCA, taking home the award for Best Radio Program. YES-FM, in turn, was named Best FM station. The Gawad Tanglaw awards are given by members of the academe to exemplary works in film, theater, radio, and television. Karen Golfo, YES-FM's assistant station supervisor, led the deejay crew of Maria Maldita, Vilma Taray, Totoy Bato, Biboy Bibo and Diego Bandido in receiving the medals and certificates for MBC.
